Prayers And Repentance Keys To Avert God's Judgement (Jonah 3:1-10) Part 2

Verse 8-10.

F) Further explanation on the  King's.

Verse 8: Proclamation.

Both men and beast  should cover themselves with sackcloth,  cry  to God, turn away from their evil ways, and violence in their hands.

G) Verse 9: A pertinent Question.

The king asked the people a very crucial question:  "Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?"( KJV Bible)

H)  Verse 10: Obedience and Repentance keys to avert Gods Judgement.

God saw their  actions,  that they turned from their wickedness , and He  changed His minds about His plans to destroy them and He averted it.

Conclusion:

We are passing through hard times all over the world Nigeria is not exempted due to the pandemic.

Measures are  taken to prevent it to spread fastly such as social distancing, using face mask, personal hygiene e.g periodic washing of hands with water and soap, and using sanitizer, praying etc.

As we do let us change from our evil ways and violence as the people of Nineveh did. It is then that God can have mercy on us. Let us be the doer of God's word and not be offering empty prayers that will not yield any fruitful results.

Jesus Christ is Lord and Saviour accept Him today (John3 :16-18.)
