FLEE FOR YOUR LIFE

Genesis 19:17-26

INTRODUCTION

The above statement Gen. 19:26 were said by the angels who visited Lot at Sodom/Gomorah to warn him of the imminent catastrophy that will soon befell the city. It's a timely warning. This warning applies to us too because we are in the end time. The second coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ is fast approaching.

FURTHER EXPLANATION
What are we to flee from?
1) Greediness: Gen 13:1(Lot).
2) Worldliness: Gen. 19:26, 1Tim 5:6(Lot).
3) Fear of Man: Mat 26:70-75(Peter).
4) Pride: Isaiah 14:12-14(Satan).
5) Adulatory/False worship: Exodus 20:6 (The children of Israel and we Christian of today).
6) Love of wealth and affluence Mathew 26:14-16, Acts of Apostles 1:15-20 (Judas Iscariot).
7) Love of pleasure Joshua 7:20-26 (Achan).
8) Spiritual blindness 2 kings 6:17 (Gehas).
9) Looking back/backsliding/Apostasy: Luke 17:32 (Lot's wife).
10) Having low esteem about ourselves/Looking down upon ourselves: Gen. 19:18-20 (Lot).

CONCLUSION

To conclude, God is warning us to shun all these vices/works of the flesh, we can not continue in sin and expect grace to abound and you can't be an overcomer except you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and continue in faith, remember judgment will come on sinners Rev. 20:11-15, Daniel 12:2, John 3:16-18.

Introduction.
 In every facet of our lives we need guide to direct us to the right path that is why God gave us conscience.

Definition Of  Term.
It is the still inner voice in us which enables us to decipher good from evil and do good.
Exegesis Of The Text:
Apostle Peter admonises us to have good  conscience so that those who may be blackmailing us will not have anything to hold against us and they will be ashamed.
 Biblical Examples:
1) King Pharaoh- Exo. 9:6

2)

Ezra- Ezra 9:6.

3) King David-Psalm 40:12.
Conclusion:Are you having a good conscience.? It's only Jesus that can help you through the Holy Spirit call on Him today. Accept  Him as your lord and savior if you have done that give Him the totality of your life. Let Him seal you with the Holy Spirit and His blood so that  He can be the ruler of your life.
Wrong choice/decision leads to hell fire.
